Do I need expressions to animate in After Effects?

You don't. But Expressions allow you to create animations that wouldn't be possible otherwise. Knowing basic Expressions and how to apply them will speed up your workflow.

Isn't AI going to write expressions for me?

Maybe in the future. The process is very buggy. So you have to know how to use expressions. How are you going to be able to correct the mistakes ChatGPT makes? And think about this: Using the "time" Expression to create a continuous movement takes a few seconds. That's a lot less time than trying to explain that to ChatGPT.

What Software is required?

AE 2018+. I use After Effects 23 in the course. After Effects 2018 project files are included as well. The track matte system has changed in After Effects 23. Besides that, everything else should be the same.

How much time do I have?

Take as much time as you want. Go through the 30 lessons at your own pace. You get lifetime access. I'll continuously add bonus lessons.

When does the course start?
